Samir Savant
Samir has over 15 years’ experience as a senior manager in arts and education. He was previously Director of Development at the Royal College of Music and has also held fundraising and marketing positions at Shakespeare’s Globe, English National Opera, the Royal Academy of Arts and Handel House. He is currently Festival Director for the London Handel Festival.
Samir is a recognised writer and public speaker on topics as varied as the lack of diversity in the arts, to the role of trustees and senior management in fundraising. He is Chair of the Professional Development sub-committee of the Institute of Fundraising’s Cultural Sector Network, and Chair of the CSN’s national conference, the largest event of its type in the UK for arts and heritage fundraisers.
