Graham Marchant 

Graham Marchant, who sadly passed away in 2024, was a deeply valued supporter and friend of the company from its earliest days. He served as Chair of Trustees for many years and remained a trusted adviser, donor and champion throughout his life.

Graham had a distinguished career in arts leadership, spanning local government and the national cultural sector. He was a founder of Opera North, served as General Manager and School Director at The Place, and later held the role of Director of Arts Co-ordination at the Arts Council, among other influential positions.

Alongside his partner, Andrew Hochhauser, Graham was a significant supporter and champion of the arts in the UK. He is remembered with great affection and gratitude by all who knew him.
