Emma Davidson

Emma Davidson

Chair Emerita
Emma has had an extensive career in fundraising for the arts and higher education holding a number of key leadership roles.  Following almost a decade as Director of Development for The Courtauld, she became a freelance fundraising consultant in 2016. Since then, she has worked for organisations including The Sixteen, Goldsmiths University and Birmingham Royal Ballet.  During this time, she also became a certified Executive Coach, responding to the need that she found for coaching rather than ‘telling’ when working with clients.   She continues to mentor young fundraisers through the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
Emma discovered the world of dance many years ago through her appointment at Sadler’s Wells as part of the Development Team working to raise funds to rebuild the theatre.  She became a trustee and then Chair of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and has loved being part of the evolution of the company and watching it grow and develop.  She is a trustee of Read Easy Southwark, a charity supporting adults in Southwark to read through one-to-one coaching.
