Beth Cinamon
Executive DirectorBeth was appointed as Executive Director of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance in October 2021.
She trained as a dancer at the London Contemporary Dance School and was Director of Studio Theatre Paddington (1998-2001), Performing Arts Officer at Hammersmith & Fulham (2001-2005), and Director of Westminster Arts (2005-2012).
She was Executive Director & Producer for Tavaziva (2013-2021), one of the UK’s foremost contemporary-African dance companies, and produced Tavaziva Ten, Africarmen, Izindava and BOY’S KHAYA as well as MANDLA for the South Bank Centre.
She has been a Trustee of Watermans Arts Centre and State of Emergency.
Beth has instigated and produced a range of independent projects and exhibitions most recently This is Wan Chai (2020), a 220metre-long photographic installation in Hong Kong’s railway station for Art in MTR with Wind & Foster. As a freelance producer she worked with Henri Oguike Dance, Maresa von Stockert, Stephanie Schober, Saju Hari, The Cockpit, Edifice Dance Theatre and Wind & Foster. She published a book Gerald Cinamon, Graphic Design (2013) about her father, producing several accompanying films and exhibitions at the ICA.
