Window into the Tempest

Window into the Tempest is the engagement project that supports our touring production We Caliban. We are partnering with select venues, HE institutions, and local dance organisations to deliver tailored, high-quality participation opportunities for students, early career artists, intergenerational groups and communities to connect to, and gain insight into the creation of We Caliban.

These are facilitated by company artists and reflect Shobana Jeyasingh’s distinctive, task-based choreographic approach, cross-disciplinary exploration, and societal inquiry. The programme offers three flexible formats:

Tempest Rising – 4-day co-creation project resulting in a 7 min curtain raiser performance with original score by We Caliban composer Thierry Pécou

Tempest Intensive – a one-day creative program exploring key concepts and approaches of We Caliban

Tempest Taster – up to 3 hours taster of the creative approaches of We Caliban

Each project is co-designed specifically with each venue and region to creatively engage up to 20 participants in the artistic processes behind the production.
