Donations matched pound-for-pound

Until August 2019, all new donations will be matched pound-for-pound by ACE Catalyst: Evolve. There is no better time to make a stunning and lasting difference to the work of our company and contemporary dance.

Be part of our next adventure – donate as an Apsara or Creative Circle supporter today.

“I am only able to produce my work with the support of our wonderful major donors, Creative Circle and Apsara supporters. They create the space and resources that help me develop initial thoughts and inspirations into fully shaped performances.”
— Shobana Jeyasingh

Become an Apsara

Apsaras are the heavenly dancers of Hindu mythology. For us, they are also the donors who support our work with annual gifts of between £5 and £499.

Our Apsaras help us to create innovative, bold dance, reach new audiences and develop our exciting Learning programme. We are a registered charity and a small organisation – so even a modest gift can make a vital difference.

Become an Apsara today, and we’ll keep you posted on all our upcoming plans and special events. Better still, your donation will be doubled.

  • Donate £10+ and receive a selection of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance postcards
  • Donate £25+ and receive a Shobana Jeyasingh Dance tote bag and postcards

Creative Circle

As a Creative Circle supporter, you get a real insight into the creation of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance’s thrilling work from start to finish.

Creative Circle is a funding programme for gifts over £500, which goes directly towards the creation and production of new works. In return, you’ll receive unparalleled access to the development, creation and performance of the company’s works.

How your support helps

Creating new dance works takes months, even years. Shobana’s initial ideas, inspired by life in today’s bustling cities, can only form, develop and finally bind together in a finished work through a rigorous process of research, rehearsal and collaboration with dancers, composers, designers and production experts.

We set ourselves a minimum target of raising at least £250,000 each year to support the development of productions and our wide-reaching Learning programme.

The ACE Catalyst: Evolve campaign doubles all new donations. We particularly welcome multi-year commitments as this means your total support during the Catalyst: Evolve campaign will be doubled. And with Gift Aid, your donations are worth even more. By supporting us, you can play a vital role in the development of our company as well as of contemporary dance in the UK and beyond.

“We are immensely proud and privileged to be able to support the development of new work at Shobana Jeyasingh Dance. Being even a small part of the creative journey that brings an exciting new performance to the wider audience is extremely important to us.”
