Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company has developed and challenged practices in contemporary dance, over the past 21 years. As a result, our work has made a significant impact on the development of contemporary dance, both in the UK and internationally.

In 2008/09 alone, we attracted almost 37,000 people to workshops or performances. These ranged from audiences at outdoor performances or in theatres, to participants in day-long workshops or projects spread over several months. The nature of our work means that participants of a variety of ages and ethnic backgrounds are attracted to engage with us.

We depend on the support of friends and donors to run education programmes and pioneer new projects. Your invaluable support will enable us to continue to lead learning and participation projects for professional dancers and young people alike, and take dance itself into new territories.
